Well, since all our normal shows that we catch on the tube are off for the summer and won't return until the fall, we are taking the opportunity to catch up on the movies we have sitting around.

I would tell you about Monday's watchings, but that was just about 6 episodes of Highlander the Series from Season 2.

Last night though, and this isn't going to be for everyone as you may not have the equipment to make it worth the rebuying it, but we watched Spider-man Superbit.

The quality of this blew away the original DVD release, especially in the sound. I don't have the top,top of the line equipment, but I bet if you do it would be a good step up for an excellent movie.

Crashes crashed more. Swings swinged more, and the whole movie just jumped out and grabbed you by the senses and shook you around.

We were lucky to have found a good deal on a new DVD player at Best Buy. We upgraded from a single disc player to a 5-disc player with all the same features and an expanded video capability (component out instead of just SVHS). We put both in and switched between the two just to see the difference. It was great!

Oh well, my ranting for the benefits of Superbit is over. If you are a major fan of the movie, and you want to see it in even better quality, grab the superbit version. Not that expensive for what it is now either! They use to run $30-40, now they are mostly down into the $20-22 range

    Sorry Peek!

The only "new" Spider-man related shows that have been released are really the compilation of all the 1967 Espisodes on DVD. I really want it, but I couldn't find it for less than $50 - so i will be waiting a bit.

    Yes - you do!

There are some classic old shows and cartoon compilations that are being released to DVD of late. And plus, you can justify it as being lazy so you don't have to rewind the video at the end.

Yeah, but that takes time. and time is money! You'd be saving so much money spending some money on a DVD player!
